Anchorage is where our story began. Our family first planted roots here as the proud owners of Chinatown Restaurant, serving the community with Chinese dishes for 10 wonderful years. When life took us to Seattle so our daughter could pursue her education, we made the difficult decision to sell the restaurant and start a new chapter.

But Anchorage never stopped feeling like home. Now, we’ve come full circle—returning to where it all started to open Wei, a name that reflects not only our family’s journey but also our passion for food. In Chinese, “Wei” (味) means “taste”—a simple word that captures everything we believe in: flavor, experience, and connection through food.

At Wei, we serve authentic Chinese flavors with thoughtful, modern twists. Our menu honors tradition while bringing something fresh and exciting to the table—for the community that has always felt like home.
